Friends For Change: Project Green is a multiplatform environmental initiative that will help kids help the planet. Disney stars Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato are among the 29 young stars participating in outreach messages to debut on Disney Channel, Disney XD, Radio Disney and Disney.com. The Disneys Friends for Change: Project Green initiative invites young people to join together to help the environment across four key areas: climate, water, waste and habitats. Kids will learn practical ways to preserve the planet, track their collective impact and have the opportunity to vote on how $1 million in donations from Disney will be divided and invested in various environmental causes over the course of a year. Edmonton International Airport launches intervention campaign Edmonton travellers asked to choose EIA every time they fly March 1, 2010 (Edmonton, Alta.)—Edmonton International Airport (EIA) estimates that it strikes up to 750000 people annually: The Calgary Habit, the drive or flight south that many Edmontonians make to catch a plane from Calgary. The symptoms: travellers using Calgarys airport dont weigh costs like gas, parking, time, inconvenience, lost economic activity for the region and the toll theyre taking on Edmontons capacity to grow its air service. The cure: EIAs Stop the Calgary Habit intervention campaign, which officially launches today. Stop the Calgary Habit is asking travellers from the Edmonton region to choose EIA every time they fly. This call to action is being taken to the streets of downtown Edmonton today with a roving rally that will culminate in a prize giveaway at TELUS Plaza (10020 100 Street) at 12:30 pm. The winner will walk away with a $4000 travel voucher to purchase a trip for two to any of the more than 50 destinations EIA serves non-stop. OFFICIAL 2008 CUTE...

This is the Official 2008 CUTE! Club Commercial presented in HD. CUTE! is a non-profit youth organization founded in September of 2008. We know that we are only a few months old, so we focused on local community service events rather than going international which is what we're meant to do. Even so, we have accomplished so much these past months. Here's a quick rundown of what we did to help our community this year: Aids Walk-Members made private donations City of Hope Cancer Walk-Canceled but CUTE! made a cash donation to help find the cure for cancer. Thanksgiving Present to Hacienda La Puente School District-Donation of 2 Crape Myrtle Trees (Trees were planted at Sierra Vista Middle School) Present Distribution to Methodist/Huntington Hospital & Hillsides Orphanage-Total Present Count: 55; We gathered presents for 2 months, wrapped them, and delivered them to pediatric patients and orphans. We were able to provide presents to every single pediatric patient and every orphan in the age range of 7-12. North East Open...

The North East Open is the only event of its kind in the Capital District as well as in upstate New York. This annual event brings together martial artists & enthusiasts of ALL styles for one big weekend of competition, demonstration and enlightenment. The North East Open is the most anticipated martial arts event in the region. While most new events take years to build a rapport, the extensive planning and community effort that went into the last few years event set a standard that can now be looked forward to each and every year. Many events exist for athletes of specific styles of martial arts, but few events bring athletes of different training backgrounds together. Open tournaments have been around for years, but the North East Open is the only one to currently take place in the upstate New York area. In this day and age, there is an overwhelming amount of ego associated with the martial arts. Students tend to have almost too much pride in their school, style and instructors. Rather than offering a competition with the attitude of finding out who is best, our tournaments goal is to open up competitors eyes to the beauty and strength of all different styles of martial arts.
